FRCH - Reading every night for 15 - 30 minutes. Final reading evaluation after EQAO tests. All grade 3 students should be at a level 24. I am happy to report that not one student is below a level 20 in our class. Reading has been conquered!
MAT - As per the newsletter, at this time, students are to review elapsed time and addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
We have reviewed Chapter 9 (Multiplication) and 10 (Division) and have completed 2D Geometry (Chapter 7). This long weekend, students should review 3D Geometry (Chapter 11) and look at Chapter 8.
Next week, we will review Chapter 12, 13 & 14. We will have reviewed the entire book!
In June, we will do a complete math review to ensure concepts are well understood...
SOC - We have completed Chapter Eight. By the end of the month, we should have completed the entire book and be prepared for review! Social Studies for Grade 3 will be complete!
Grade 4 students should have completed reading Chapter 5 of "Le Canada" when they return from the long holiday weekend.
SCI - "Pulleys and Gears" was presented last week. I will post the pictures of our last scientist-in-the-school as soon as possible.
